The planning system in England and Wales is a plan led system, so it is important to get local and neighbourhood development plans to say the right things, and then use those policies to help improve planning applications.
Where possible, we seek that local and neighbourhood development plans include a statement that says that development shoudl have regard to the Rights of Way Improvement Plan for the area so that the ROWIP contents can be considered as material considerations in determining planning applications. | |||||||||
