Map showing Reed 9 and Barkway 5 bridleways
Annotated map reproduced courtesy of Googlemaps.
This route starts as Reed 9 bridleway from Reed 20 bridleway and continues generally eastwards to a junction with Reed 24 bridleway then to the parish boundary. It continues as Barkway 5 bridleway, turning generally southwards to Church Lane (public road).

We need a volunteer to photograph this route for this year's Access and Riding Rights of Way Survey. It's easy - just take photographs (safely) when you use the path. Find out more!

BHS As part of the British Horse Society's work to record paths before Path Extinguishment Day, it was spotted that there was no recorded path between Reed 9 BW and Reed 10 BOAT. The historical evidence showed a continuous route, so an application was made in 2013 to record the gap. The County Council decided that the link path was a bridleway and an order was made in 2016 to record the additional path and the width of Barkway 5 bridleway. The landowner objected and the order was determined by an Inspector, who confirmed the order in 2017.
