Map showing Bishop's Stortford bridleways by the county boundary

The numbering of this route looks complicated because is keeps crossing the county boundary! We have shown Hertfordshire paths in dark blue and Essex paths in light blue, so that any problems can be reported to the right authority.

Starting from Albury 9 bridleway at the county boundary, the bridleway continues in Essex as Farnham 20 heading east, south then east again to become Bishop's Stortford 73 in Hertfordshire. After a short distance it heads northwards as bridleway Farnham 14 (also as Bishop's Stortford 8A, shown in orange) then becomes Bishop's Stortford 6, Farnham 22 and finally Bishop's Stortford 5, before ending at Farnham Road (public road).

We need a volunteer to photograph this route for this year's Access and Riding Rights of Way Survey. It's easy - just take photographs (safely) when you use the path. Find out more!
