This route runs between two public roads, south of Letty Green.

Legal History 1838: Hertingfordbury 20 RB was shown on the Hertingfordbury tithe map coloured ochre and not subject to an apportionment. Recorded as CRF (Carriage Road used as a Footpath) on the original (1953) definitive statement. Restricted Byway rights were confirmed or created on this path by virtue of ss 47 and 48 Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 on 2 May 2006.
