The orange route shown left is offered as part of a planning application for the former Burston Nurseries site. This would join St Stephen 3 to Lye Lane without having to use the verge of the A405 North Orbital Road. The development also proposes a Pegasus crossing of the A405, so rejoining bridleways 3 and 3A. We are supporting this addition to the bridleway network. 26 May 21: Planning permisison was denied. The developer is appealing. The plans themselves can be seen by entering planning application number 5/2020/3022 on the planning search page.

The Patchetts Green Bridleways Trust, the British Horse Society and the Ramblers supported the creation of this path. It was included in the plans as a result of work by the BHS county access officer.

Legal History 4 Feb 2021: Planning application 5/2020/3022, published for consultation by the local planning authority, included new bridleway provision. Scheme turned down 26 May 21.
