This route starts at Barley Road (public road) and runs generally northwards, crossing Barkway 18 bridleway and having a junction with Barkway 19 bridleway before continuing to the public road at Newsells. At the time of the 2021 Access Survey (13 Oct 21), several gates were across the path and it was signposted at each end. There were steps at the northern end. 1 Nov 1953: The route was recorded as a bridleway on the original definitive map and statement. DM sheets DM4-10 and DM4-23.
31 Dec 1977: The route was shown as a bridleway on the special review draft map and statement. DM sheet SR-8.
30 Jan 2024: Barkway Parish Council publish report on the bridleway, to inform planning application decision.

Commences from Barley Road SW of Guide Hut thence NW for approx. 75 yards thence N across BR18 to Newsells Drive W of The Bury thence N through Crab Plantation to join county road at Newsells.
