1 Nov 1953: The route was recorded as a bridleway on the original definitive map and statement. DM sheet DM4-23.
31 Dec 1977: The route was shown as a bridleway on the special review draft map and statement. DM sheet SR-8.
21 Jun 2013: The Hertfordshire County Council (Barkway 18) Public Path Diversion Order 2013 (confirmed 28 Mar 2014) diverted the western end of this path. HCC reference NH/241/DIV.

Commences from Barley Road at S corner of Newsells Park then generally W across BR 17 then W and NW past Mill House to TL 3825 3640, then running NNE within the boundary of Keeper's Cottage for approx. 30m to TL 3826 3642, then in a generally NW curve for approx. 15m to TL 3825 3643, then W and NW within the boundary of Keeper's Cottage for approx. 85m to the junction with Royston Road at TL 3817 3644.
