Legal History 1843: Bengeo Rural 16 is shown on the Bengeo tithe map coloured ochre (same as Bengeo Rural 1 BW to the north).

Definitive Statement (4 Dec 2015) Path: [Bengeo Rural] 16.  Recorded Status: Footpath.  Definitive Map sheet: 45 Commences at junction with FP4 at Bourne Wood thence NE partly through Wood and thence through fields to N corner of Furzeground Wood and junction with BR1. Maintainability This route is maintainable at the public expense because it was a footpath or bridleway existing before 30 Apr 1959.
