This route starts from the county boundary on the A120 (public road) and continues generally southwards to Dunmow Road (public road). Legal History The numbering of paths in Bishop's Stortford before 2000 was unlike that in the rest of Hertfordshire! 25 Nov 2024: Landowner consultation on diversion of bridleway to edge of playing field (school safeguarding issue). Width of diverted section will be 4.5m to 5m. 9 Oct 2025: The Hertfordshire County Council (Bishops Stortford 71) Diversion Order 2025 will, if confirmed, divert a small section of bridleway to the field edge and record a width of part 4.5m and part 5m for the diverted section. Objection period end is 26 Nov 2025. HCC reference EH/507/DIV.
