This route runs from Hexton Road generally northeastwards along the Icknield Way to the Offley parish boundary. The route straddles the parish and county boundary in places and so has multiple path numbers.

We need a volunteer to photograph this route for this year's Access and Riding Rights of Way Survey. It's easy - just take photographs (safely) when you use the path. Find out more!

Legal History
1837: Hexton 10 was shown on the Hexton tithe map as part of parcel 196, a road owned by the surveyor of highways and not subject to an apportionment.

1 Nov 1953: The route was not recorded on the original definitive map and statement in Hexton, but part of it was recorded as Lilley 8 CRF (Carriage Road used as a Footpath). DM sheet DM4-27 (Herts 11 NW).
31 Dec 1977: The route was shown as Lilley 8 byway and Liley 24 bridleway on the special review draft map and statement, but objections were made so the route was unaltered. DM sheet SR-19 (TL12NW).
