This route runs from Baldock Lane, not far from Letchworth 44 BW, to Letchworth Gate (the A505). It used to end opposite Letchworth 5 BW but that route was diverted to the east. There is a good grass verge from Letchworth 4 to the Pegasus crossing where the A505 Letchworth Gate can be crossed to reach Letchworth 5 BW.

This route forms a suitable alternative to the Letchworth Greenway in the event that the formal greenway route is closed for any reason.

At the time of the BHS 2021 Access Survey (18 Aug 21), no gates were across the path and it was signposted at each end, although the sign at the northern end was hidden by a hedge. The route crossed two estate roads, and no signage was present at these crossings. A low branch was across the route just south of Penn Way.
