Legal History 2 Feb 1953: The route was recorded as a bridleway on the original definitive map and statement. DM sheet DM2-24 (Herts 30 NW). 31 Dec 1977: The route was shown as a bridleway on the special review draft map and statement. DM sheet SR-46 (TL31NE).

Definitive Statement (4 Dec 2015) Path: [Thundridge] 12.  Status: Bridleway.  Definitive Map sheet: 46 Commences at BR19 by spinney of Fanham's Hall thence NE across Ashridge Common to join RB 57 at TL 3803 1676. Recommencing at TL 3804 1676 and continuing NE to join BR8 W of Buckney Wood. Maintainability This route is maintainable at the public expense because it was a footpath or bridleway existing before 30 Apr 1959.
