Annotated map reproduced courtesy of Googlemaps.	This route runs from Codicote Road (public road) generally southwards to end on Wheathampstead 12 bridleway, part of the Ayot Greenway. The northern part has been turned into an estate road, while the southern part is a nice grassed area with a metalled track to one side for walkers and cyclists. At the time of the BHS 2022 Access Survey (20 Mar 22), no gates were across the path and it was signposted at each end. There was one horse stile which was nugatory as it could be walked round. Legal History 20 Jun 1953: The route was recorded as a bridleway on the original definitive map and statement. DM sheet DM3-15 (Herts 28 NW or TL11SE). 31 Dec 1977: The route was shown as a bridleway on the special review draft map and statement. DM sheet SR-56 (TL11SE).

Definitive Statement (4 Dec 2015) Path: [Wheathampstead] 17.  Status: Bridleway.  Definitive Map sheet: 56 Commences from BR12 on premises of Murphy's Chemical Co Ltd thence N across railway to join Codicote Road opposite Wheathampstead House. Maintainability This route is maintainable at the public expense because it was a footpath or bridleway existing before 30 Apr 1959.
