It continues southeastwards to Shrubhill Common (common with equestrian rights) and a junction with Hemel Hempstead 90 restricted byway. At the time of the 2024 Access Survey (18 Oct 24), the path north of Long Chaulden was passable on horseback (but not by carriage) and it was signposted (footpath) at each end. The path south of Long Chaulden was obstructed by a metal chicane that would prevent carriage use, and it was signposted (footpath) at each end.

Legal History 2 Feb 1843: Hemel Hempstead 20 was shown on the Hemel Hempstead tithe map as land parcel 161 which was listed under 'Roads, Commons and Wastes' and was not subject to an apportionment. 1878: OS 1st edition 25in H33-7 published. Shows route as land parcel 335. 1878: OS Area Book gives description for parcel 335 as 'Road'. 1910: Inland Revenue Valuation shows route as a white road. Planning application 24/01212/DRC 15 Jul 2024: Application for RB. Continues as FP from TL 0363 0706 SE along western edge of Shrub Hill Common to SE corner of same to meet N end of footway in front of 38 Shrubhill Road at TL 0385 0693.
